There was instant magic and chemistry from the moment Scott and I first met. We started off as great friends, and as we spent more time together, we developed an incredible connection. Scott coached me through some tough college courses, enabling me graduate a semester early, and I supported him through some difficult times at work. Our friendship quickly evolved into romance as we both envisioned an exciting future together! One year later, Scott proposed to me at sunset in a hot air balloon in Georgia (see our hilarious video)! He brought two ring boxes with him in the balloon, one containing the engagement ring, and the other one empty. Scott initially pulled out the empty box, and as he was preparing to take a knee and propose, he “accidentally” dropped it from the balloon! With horror, I watched (what I though was) my engagement ring fall 4,000 feet... As I began to hyperventilate in shock, Scott got down on one knee, pulled out the other box, and proposed with the actual ring! We’re excited about getting married because we can’t picture life any other way. Our lives are enriched as we make each other laugh, share common aspirations, and purse our passion to help others. Scott and I make a great team, and we bring out the best qualities in each other. I couldn’t imagine spending the rest of my life with a more fun-loving, thoughtful and generous man! The Bahamas are truly the world’s living paradise, and getting married there would be our dream come true. Although we’ve always wanted a destination wedding in the Caribbean, we never thought it would be possible – particularly after Scott was recently let go from his job at Bank of America. Scott’s lay off had required us to rethink our wedding options, however when we read about the Bahamas Bridal Bailout, our hopes began to soar again! Scott and I could not imagine a better gift than the opportunity to exchange vows in a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere, on a vast private beach, surrounded by turquoise water, overlooking a radiant sunset, while being entertained by the world’s friendliest people…TRULY PARADISE!
