The ideal lineup is not always available, but that issue is often mitigated by the unavailability of players from the other squad. However, the famous Argentinean coach Cesar Luis Menotti that led the team to World Cup glory once said, I maintain that a team is above all an idea, and more than an idea it is a commitment, and more than a commitment it is the clear convictions that a coach must transmit to his players to defend that idea. Currently, the USMNT exudes no idea. There was no through line, no philosophy, no plan evident in their play. No matter who is on the field, the idea should be present when a player wears the U.S jersey. It does not matter if it is a friendly, a qualifier, or the World Cup final, a philosophy can be found. Both Slovakia and Denmark demonstrated a style of play Slovakia: to play a controlled, disciplined, patient game. Let playmakers do their job, and do not give up an easy goal. Denmark: to, like Slovakia, play disciplined, intelligent soccer, pressure, attack and overwhelm the opposition. Where does the United States National team standThe initial reaction is to look to the coach, and Bob Bradley has taken his fair share of criticism. But who, outside of the USSF and the USMNT really knows how much is Bradleys doing and how much is a team that failed to implement his plan Either way, he will be held responsible in the endand rightfully so. In the meantime, the media and the fans should be doing more Too easily do we dismiss friendlies.
Too easily do we let the team and the manager walk away from a game without questioning their actions and motives. Such leniency does not help the cause. We should question the teams philosophy: What was the plan for the Slovakia and Denmark games What changes were implemented once you considered a European defense rather than a CONCACAF team With star players out of the lineup, what attacking philosophy did you stress Why call up this individual At this point in time, should so many new faces be placed in the lineup, or should some continuity be considered with, realistically, six months left to go before the World CupThese questions are obviously for the coach, but the same should be asked of the players: Why did you choose to play so directly Why press forward when you should be covering an opposing player What caused you to be so out of position Are you on the same page with your partnerPerhaps these questions are being asked. A World Series win came to New York for the first time in nine years. The team was great, but who was best Here are my picks for the Yankees team awards:MVP: A tough pick, but I am going with Mark Teixeira. The biggest reason is most likely that he received more MVP votes than any other player on the team, but his stats were there, too. A .292 average and 39 home runs allowed Teixeira to show off his surprising mix of power and average. He also won the gold glove at fist base. In my opinion, if he had had a great playoffs, he could have been the AL MVP. Tex just edged Jeter to win team MVP.Cy Young: Without a doubt, MO. Name a better clutch pitcher. Name a better closer. Name a better pitcher in the playoffs. Name a pitcher who's nastier. Mo deserves it more than Sabathia and Pettitte combined. He had yet another Mariano season, and definitely deserves some recognition. (BTW, Mo got more votes than C.C. for MVP...)Team Gold Glove: Again, Tiexera is just barely going to edge Jeter for this spot. Tex lead the re-vamped Yankees D with his golden glove at the right end of the diamond.Rookie of the Year: Francisco Cervelli takes the award uncontested. He hit .298 in 64 games with the Yankees, and showed some good clutch hitting. His glove has continued to improve.Rolaids Relief: Mo-ro. Any questionsRoberto Clemente: Derek Jeter: The most charitable Yankee.Best Fan-Player Moment: I call it the Brett Gardner adventure: Brett promised the little girl a homer, and he gave it to her, just in his own way. That's all. Agree, disagree, feel free to comment. .

Tim Tebow is a Florida guy,That's were he was born and raised.Tebow went tohigh school in florida,I had a first hand look at Tebow cause he played Vs myhigh school team.Tim has always been an a attraction being one of the best athletes on the field all the time.If your a Jaguars fan you know that we have attendance problems.People Tebow is the answer to this problem. He has the Gator support,Hishigh school support and people who just upright like the guy. Now the question is were are you gonna play himTE you say,Well he's not natural and we have Lewis having a great season with a young andupcoming Zach Miller.RB,He could possible play that but MJD,Greg Jones and Rashad Jennings are all better for thatposition.Defence is out of the question. The experts say no but i say yes,That's right QB. I dont think Tebow could be a QB in an offence like the Patriot's run or the colt's run.The Jaguars offence is run first and they have a RB MJD for a long time.Tebow would have to play a Garrard like role were he does not have to be a game winner,Only a QB who does not lose games. He does not throw many pics and he could pick up that 1 yard needed on 3rd or 4th and short. Learning under Garrard Tebow could be a greatsituational QB.Vince young is running the option great for the Titans right now and Tebow could do the same.As we all know Tebow was better with Percy Harvin than he has been this year. You might ask why do you bring this up,Well because Mike Thomas reminds me of Harvin.Tebow need's that fast slot guy witch he will be getting in Jacksonville. So Tebow would help in many aspects for the Jacksonville Jaguars. So let's draft him and hopefully we will be hearing Tebow chants all through the sold out stadium in the Jaguars stadium.. The Big Ten season has concluded, and Ohio State's on top of the standings. Again. While Illinois and Wisconsin still have some non-conference action to attend to, this past weekend's games marked the end of the regular season for most of the teams in the league, and (sadly) marks the end of another season of "Carrying On". If you need to step away from your computer to shed a tear or five, now's the time Ahem...moving right along... As always, we start with the spotlight game. UNDER THE MICROSCOPE: OHIO STATE 21, MICHIGAN 10 Five things I learned during a relatively dull Buckeyes-Wolverines clash: 1. Brandon Graham is incredible The senior defensive end put on a clinic in a losing cause Saturday, including back-to-back plays you had to see to believe. With Ohio State trying to extend a 14-10 lead, the Buckeyes drove into the red zone and had 1st-and-goal at the Michigan 2-yard line.
